N-12 WT CSA B182.6 Product Sheet

The N-12® WT IB pipe (per CSA B182.6) sell sheet explains the applications, features and benefits, and gives the specifications for the pipe. N-12 WT IB pipe incorporates patented technology to provide a watertight joint.

The revolutionary coupling system maintains bell dimension after installation, providing uniform tolerances to ensure the highest consistent performance found in the corrugated pipe industry.

N-12 WT IB pipe (per CSA B182.6) is used for storm sewers, culverts & cross drains, retention & detention, ditch enclosures, slope & edge drains, and mining, forestry, & industrial uses.

Features of the N-12 WT IB pipe include availability in 6 m (20’) lengths which result in fewer joints, 200-900mm (8”-36”) diameters are available, it is certified to meet CSA B182.6, meets 100 kPa water pressure and vacuum lab testing requirements. HS-25, HL-93 and CL-625 (highway traffic loads) rated with a minimum of 0.3 (1’) of cover.

The benefits are that the bell-spigot join is fast and offers quick & easy installation. Bell reinforcement provides uniform support not found in the corrugated HDPE pipe industry. This pipe avoids possible infiltration of sands & fines that result in sinkholes and differential settlement to adjacent structures.

This document includes specifications for the Canada N-12 WT IB pipe (per CSA B182.6), including the scope. The specification describes 200 to 900 mm (8”-36”) ADS Canada N-12 WT IB (per CSA B182.6) pipe for use in gravity-flow drainage applications. The specification includes information about the pipe requirements, joint performance, material properties and installation.

For complete installation guidelines for Canada N-12 WT IB pipe (per CSA B182.6), follow CSA B182.11 published installation guidelines. Backfill for minimum cover situations shall consist of Class 1, Class 2 (minimum 90% SPD) or Class 3 (minimum 95% SPD) material. Maximum fill heights depend on embedment material and compaction level; please refer to Technical Note 2.01C for more information.
